Understanding Hardware
The VT series from Darim is a line of affordable, professional-quality cards for multi-format capture, streaming, and IP-TV applications. This powerful solution allows you to implement 24/7 digital content broadcasting over the Internet.
PCIe, USB, and PCI Based Solutions
Darim’s PCIe and PCI cards as well as USB devices are specifically designed for professional multimedia broadcasting applications, supporting scheduling, multi-layer titling, logo insertion, switcher, mixer, and 24-hour playout. Since all base hardware units are optimized for software applications, the reliability of a configured system is guaranteed for industrial use.
Beyond Capture Cards
All base VT series hardware units offered by Darim are powerful and flexible solutions for media professionals. The VT810 card, one of the most reliable multi-function boards, is ideal for applications requiring two completely independent capture and playback streams in and out of a computer, as both capture and playback channels are completely independent. There are two SDI/ASI inputs, and two SDI/ASI outputs. VT810 also includes HDMI in and out, analog and digital audio. It is perfect for servers where there are multiple streams or simultaneous capture and playback per system.
For implementing 24-hour Internet Broadcasting with minimal manpower, Darim recommends the VT300 capture card without TV output for IP-based streaming. It supports all features available in our broadcast-level software, VT OnAir. (Customers can refer to the specifications data on the Comparison Chart when selecting a base hardware unit.) The required video input and output information, along with the number of supporting channels, may determine the board selection. Multi-channel solutions can also be built by inserting additional cards into a PC.
Enhanced Dual Capture & Quality
Time-based-correction (TBC) technology is applied on VT boards to improve the capturing process and video quality. With TBC and a built-in de-interlacer, users can broadcast the highest quality content over the Internet.
The VT boards are designed to communicate with external devices through the basic break-out cables or by adding break-out boxes. Additional break-out boxes are needed to support multiple cards.
